Marina & Portal Regulations
Belize Port Authority digital clearance, SailClear pre-arrival, and what visiting vessels should prepare before requesting a berth at Red Rock.
All incoming international vessels must upload clear copies of their Ship’s Registry, International Ship Security Certificate, and a valid Protection and Indemnity (P&I) Certificate through the Belize Port Authority (BPA) Online Document Portal. Masters or agents must also submit Notice of Arrival (NOA) forms through the dedicated digital pipeline at least 48 hours in advance to avoid fines or clearance delays.
Your electronic portal submission should include: Notice of Arrival / Notice of Departure; Arrival Declaration and official crew / passenger lists; Clearance Certificate from your last port of call; and cargo / tender manifests (or an authorized Nil List if you are carrying no commercial freight).
Private pleasure craft entering Belizean territory must log voyage data electronically via SailClear before arrival. After digital pre-arrival is complete, vessels clear physical customs at authorized maritime waypoints — including The Marina at Fort George in Belize City or The Marina at The Placencia in the south. Confirm current waypoints and procedures on SailClear and with the Belize Port Authority before you depart.
Yes. Local operators can use the BPA Online Portal for Master’s License renewals, lateral transfers, and replacement Registration Certificates. Vessel re-licensing for local craft can also start online through the Virtual Vessel Inspection program. Brand-new entrant vessels still require a structured physical dockside check.
The BPA portal accepts direct bank deposits or over-the-counter deposits. A clear copy of your bank transaction receipt must be scanned and uploaded into the portal submission pane to validate and complete the application.
Red Rock Marina welcomes visiting and resident vessels after you have completed required Belize digital pre-arrival and clearance steps with the Belize Port Authority and SailClear. Attach current check-in documents when you request a berth through our marina request form so the marina team can coordinate your stay. Official portal rules and authorized clearance locations are governed by the BPA — always verify the latest requirements before arrival.
